Our couple’s time this week brought us to a jazzy and modern styled restaurant in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The white brick and huge black windows have a western modern look to them and it was definitely the vibe we were into this particular weekend. Might I add that they also had a live guitarist who played the perfect blend of tunes while we enjoyed our dinner out on their patio. Why seat inside when the weather was coorporating!? For my girls who love to take pictures in aesthetically-pleasing restaurants, this one’s for you. Parkside District also has what they call the “garage” which is perfect for hosting special occasions.
The food was SOOOOO good
(as in deliciously good)
I’m not even exaggerating when I say that the food at Parkside District was BEYOND AMAZING! We came in with an open mind and was so impressed with their menu. There is something for everyone–whether you’re a steak lover, chicken fiend, or seafood fanatico, you’ll be sure to find something to select. I’m sure every food item would be just as delicious as the Shrimp and Grits I had or even the Lamb Chops Akin had! My order was definitely one of the best shrimp & grits I’ve ever had at any restaurant so far. (I may start a thread where I review shrimp and grits at different restaurants.) We didn’t want to rush home so we ordered for the first time in a while a side of dessert in the form of the most delicious blend of peach cobbler that was topped with vanilla ice cream. We had no regrets at all!
We are keeping to our promise to always set time aside for both of us at least once a week to just enjoy our union. Whether it be going to restaurants, engaging in adventurous activities, or watching movies together, we love our one-on-one time as it allows us to debrief from the hectic work week and simply enjoy each other’s company. We prayed, assessed our marriage, and shared moments from the week that stood out to us during dinner. It was a beautiful night to remember and I’m looking forward to our next date night already!
